About The Position

DiningRD is actively seeking a Registered Dietitian for multiple Assisted Living Communities and Behavioral Health Facilities. The consultant would be responsible for quarterly onsite visits averaging 4 to 6 hours per visit per facility to complete food safety and sanitation audits, meal/dining observation audits, and address any nutrition referrals for high-risk residents. As a consulting Registered Dietitian, you will improve the lives of individuals by ensuring their meals meet high nutritional standards, working closely with the clinical team to monitor nutritional needs, providing nutrition education, working on MDS with the team, and formulating nutrition assessments. You will provide guidance on all dining services, including meal rounds, sanitation best practices, and ensuring regulatory compliance. You will also train and guide dining managers and staff, assist with policy development, and monitor the implementation of effective nutritional care systems.

Requirements

  • Commission on dietetic registration (CDR) credentials.
  • Licensed (if required by State).
  • CDR # from ASCEND/Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (Required).
  • State License, if required for a Registered Dietitian (Required).
  • Ability to effectively prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Solid interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to represent the company in a professional manner.
  • Enjoy coaching and mentoring others.

Nice To Haves

  • 2 years of consulting experience is preferred.
  • Experience in Long Term Care preferred but not required.
  • Clinical Nutrition: 2 years (Preferred).
  • Behavioral Health Nutrition: 1 year (Preferred).

Responsibilities

  • Complete quarterly onsite visits (4-6 hours per visit per facility).
