About The Position

Full Time Community & Outpatient Registered Dietitian Join our dynamic team at RD Nutrition Consultants LLC, a leading Dietitian Nutritionist Consulting firm providing expert services to healthcare facilities nationwide. We are currently looking for a passionate Registered Dietitian to be a part of our growing team. Schedule: 40 hours per week; Monday–Friday during business hours Compensation: $55.00–$60.00 per hour depending on experience Contract Length: Minimum 13 weeks Benefits: Package available depending on employment status (Medical, Dental, Vision). Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Dietetics, Nutrition, or a related field from an accredited program.
  • Registered by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR).
  • Current state licensure/certification (where mandated by the state).
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills for effective interaction with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
  • Strong ability to apply critical thinking to a variety of situations, assess objectives, and develop, implement, and monitor effective plans for improvement.
  • Proficiency in providing general nutrition interventions and familiarity with state survey processes and nutrition care regulations.
  • Competency in electronic medical records (EMR) and charting systems.

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive nutritional assessments on new admissions and quarterly thereafter, with more frequent reviews as needed for high-risk residents.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor individualized nutrition care plans.
  • Provide nutrition education and counseling to residents and families as needed.
  • Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, therapists, and other members of the interdisciplinary care team.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable state and federal regulations, including those related to the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) and the Department of Health (DOH).
  • Maintain accurate, timely, and appropriate documentation in accordance with facility policies.
  • Monitor all residents for changes in weight weekly and/or monthly to identify potential changes in nutrition or hydration status.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance nutrition care services and resident outcomes as needed.
  • Conduct monthly kitchen sanitation audits, documenting findings and recommending corrective actions to maintain a safe, sanitary environment.
  • Review and approve facility menus on a semi-annual basis to ensure they meet USDA guidelines.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned and within the professional scope of practice.
