Registered Dietitian (Per-Diem)

We’re looking for a Registered Dietitian who’s excited to be part of a collaborative, supportive team that truly enjoys working together. In this role, you’ll care for adult and geriatric patients, managing a well-balanced caseload of about 12 patients per day while using your clinical expertise in medical nutrition therapy, nutrition assessments, and nutrition-focused physical exams to make a real impact. Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Nutrition or Dietetics is required.
- Registered Dietitian with the Commission on Dietetic Registration to be obtained within six months.
Nice To Haves
- Master’s degree is required for those who became registered after 2023.
- One year of experience in dietetics and acute care is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for providing quality and timely nutritional care to patients.
- Requires thorough knowledge and understanding of Regulatory, Departmental, and Hospital policies and procedures pertaining to nutritional care, including nutrition screening, assessment, and reassessment; food-drug interactions; enteral and parenteral nutrition support; patient education; and documentation.
- Must demonstrate competence in assessing the nutritional requirements of patients across the life-cycle, including: neonatal (birth -1 year), pediatric (1-11 years), adolescent (12-17 years), adult (18-65 years), geriatric (65 and over), and pregnant / lactating patients.
- Oversee Registered Dietitian (RD) Eligible individuals by reviewing and signing off on their notes daily.
- Responsible for placing orders for RD Eligible individuals when applicable.
