About The Position
The Parker Jewish Institute, located in New Hyde Park, NY is seeking a Registered Dietitian to join its team of dedicated professionals in Dietary Clinical Care on a per diem basis. The role involves working collaboratively with the clinical dietary, food service, and the interdisciplinary care team. Responsibilities include assessing residents' nutritional status, implementing, monitoring, and modifying nutritional care plans, assisting with resident menu planning and revisions, and evaluating and resolving problems across the facility.
Requirements
- Degree in Food and Nutrition
- Registered Dietitian in New York State
- Experience with clinical nutrition care in hospital or nursing home, or similar clinical environment
- Ability to communicate pleasantly and effectively with residents, staff and family members
Responsibilities
- Work collaboratively with our clinical dietary, food service, and the rest of the interdisciplinary care team.
- Provide assessment of our residents' nutritional status, implement, monitor and modify nutritional care as planned.
- Assist with planning and revision of resident menus.
- Work across the facility to evaluate and resolve problems as they occur.
