About The Position

DiningRD is actively seeking a Registered Dietitian for three Assisted Living Communities. The consultant would be responsible for quarterly onsite visits (4-6 hours/visit) to complete food safety and sanitation audits, meal/dining observation audits, and address any nutrition referrals for high-risk residents. This role averages 4-6 hours per month. DiningRD has been nurturing joy through food with long-term care dining programs since 1994. Our comprehensive food and nutrition programs are designed and supported by a team of registered dietitians with extensive food service experience. We currently provide dietitian consulting and menu services to more than 4,000 healthcare communities across 49 states. Requirements

  • Commission on dietetic registration (CDR) credentials
  • Licensed (if required by State)
  • CDR # from ASCEND/Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (Required)
  • State License, if required for a Registered Dietitian (Required)
  • Ability to effectively prioritize multiple tasks
  • Solid interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to represent the company in a professional manner
  • Enjoy coaching and mentoring others

Nice To Haves

  • 2 years of consulting experience is preferred
  • Experience in Long Term Care preferred but not required
  • clinical nutrition: 2 years (Preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Complete quarterly onsite visits (4-6 hours/visit) to complete food safety and sanitation audit.
  • Conduct meal/dining observation audits.
  • Address nutrition referrals for high-risk residents.
  • Provide nutrition education.
  • Work on MDS with the team.
  • Formulate nutrition assessments with input from the dining manager.
  • Provide guidance on all dining services, including meal rounds and sanitation best practices.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Train and provide guidance to dining managers and staff.
  • Assist with policy development.
  • Monitor the implementation of effective nutritional care systems.
