Requirements

Active RD/RDN credential in good standing.
Active LD/LDN or CD/CDN license in state(s) of practice.
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Nutrition/Dietetics or related field.
Clinical/ambulatory experience providing nutrition counseling or MNT (required).
Strong patient-centered counseling and documentation skills; comfortable in interdisciplinary teams.
Comfort with EHRs, telehealth platforms; reliable internet and a private, HIPAA-compliant workspace.

Nice To Haves

Experience with obesity/weight management/chronic conditions and telehealth (preferred).

Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive nutrition assessments via virtual/telehealth visits.
Provide Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT) for obesity and related chronic conditions; develop individualized nutrition care plans.
Deliver nutrition education and counseling using motivational interviewing and behavior-change frameworks.
Support patient engagement through clear communication; escalate clinical concerns as appropriate.
Collaborate with physicians, NPs, health coaches, and care coordinators; participate in care planning/case reviews as needed.
Document encounters, assessments, and care plans in the EHR; use telehealth and patient engagement tools effectively.
Maintain licensure standards, HIPAA compliance, and required training/professional development.
