About The Position

Orlando Health is seeking a compassionate and knowledgeable Registered Dietitian to join their team. In this role, the dietitian will assess patients' nutritional needs and develop individualized nutrition care plans that support healing, recovery, and overall wellness. As a trusted member of the healthcare team, they will provide evidence-based nutrition guidance, educate patients and families, and collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to improve patient outcomes. Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university
  • Coursework accredited or approved by the Commission on Accreditation of Dietetics Education (CADE) of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (AND)
  • Registered Dietitian credential through the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (AND)
  • Current State of Florida Dietitian Licensure
  • No prior experience required

Responsibilities

  • Assess patient nutritional needs and develop individualized care plans
  • Provide medical nutrition therapy and nutrition counseling
  • Educate patients, families, and healthcare team members on nutrition-related topics
  • Document dietary assessments and nutrition care plans in the medical record
  • Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and collaborate with physicians and care teams
  • Serve as a nutrition consultant and advocate for patient wellness
  • Review current research and support updates to menus, diet manuals, and standards of care
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and community outreach opportunities
  • Ensure compliance with Orlando Health policies, procedures, and regulatory standards
