About The Position

DiningRD is actively seeking a Registered Dietitian for an Assisted Living Community. This consultant will be responsible for semi-annual onsite visits (4 hours/visit) to complete food safety and sanitation audits, meal/dining observation audits, and address nutrition referrals for high-risk residents. The role involves improving the lives of seniors by ensuring their meals meet high nutritional standards, working closely with the clinical team to monitor resident nutritional needs, providing nutrition education, contributing to MDS assessments, and formulating nutrition assessments. The dietitian will provide guidance on dining services, including meal rounds, sanitation best practices, and ensuring regulatory compliance. They will also train and guide dining managers and staff, assist with policy development, and monitor the implementation of effective nutritional care systems.

Requirements

  • Commission on dietetic registration (CDR) credentials
  • Licensed (if required by State)
  • CDR # from ASCEND/Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (Required)
  • State License, if required for a Registered Dietitian (Required)
  • Ability to effectively prioritize multiple tasks
  • Solid interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to represent the company in a professional manner
  • Enjoy coaching and mentoring others

Nice To Haves

  • 2 years of consulting experience is preferred
  • Experience in Long Term Care preferred but not required
  • clinical nutrition: 2 years (Preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Complete semi-annual onsite visits (4 hours/visit) to complete food safety and sanitation audit.

  • Provide nutrition education.
  • Work on an MDS with the team.

  • Provide guidance on all dining services, including meal rounds and sanitation best practices.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Train and provide guidance to dining managers and staff.
  • Assist with policy development.
  • Monitor the implementation of effective nutritional care systems.
