About The Position

Sodexo is seeking a Registered Dietitian to join their clinical team at USC Arcadia Hospital, a 348-bed acute care facility. This hospital offers a balance of clinical complexity and growth opportunities, with a patient census including Critical Care, Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, Bariatric Program, and an Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit. The role involves providing medical nutrition therapy, conducting nutrition assessments, educating patients and families, participating in quality improvement initiatives, collaborating with healthcare staff, and documenting care in the electronic medical record. Requirements

A Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RD/RDN) credential
Meets eligibility requirements for Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RD/RDN) by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) and will become registered within 120 days of hire.
Two years' experience in critical care and nutrition support along with PI/QI initiatives
Strong interest in improving clinical knowledge
Excellent Organizational, communication skills
The ability to be self-directed and be a team player

Nice To Haves

A master's degree (preferred)
In the absence of the stated experience above, the individual should be excited and able to learn these processes with a passion

Responsibilities

Provide medical nutrition therapy utilizing the Nutrition Care Process for inpatient populations, including critical care
Conduct nutrition assessments, monitoring, and follow-up care
Educate patients and families regarding acute and chronic disease management
Participate in quality improvement initiatives such as meal rounds, tray audits, and patient satisfaction activities
Collaborate closely with physicians, nursing, and ancillary staff
Document care accurately in the electronic medical record
Assist with Food & Nutrition Services operations as needed
