About The Position

Clarion Psychiatric Center is seeking a remote, part-time Registered Dietitian to join their dynamic team. This role involves planning modified diets as prescribed by physicians, conducting nutritional assessments, and counseling patients and their families on dietary plans, food selections, preparation, and nutritional principles. The Dietitian will also facilitate groups and educate patients and staff on the importance of good nutrition and a well-balanced diet. Clarion Psychiatric Center provides inpatient treatment for adults with psychiatric problems, crisis stabilization for children and adolescents, and a Partial Hospitalization Program for school-aged children. The center has a 112-bed inpatient program across 4 units and has been serving the community for over 30 years with a focus on teamwork and a compassionate therapeutic environment.

Requirements

• Pennsylvania Registered Dietitian Licensure.
• Master’s Degree from an accredited college or university in nutritional studies.
• Three (3) years dietary experience in a health care facility, with concentration in nutritional assessment and planning.
• Knowledge of all facets of nutritional and dietary planning.
• Knowledge of JCAHO Standards.
• Knowledge of the unique dietary needs of various age groups (child, adolescent, adult and geriatric).
• Knowledge of nutritional menu planning and skill in interpreting and applying this knowledge to patient needs.
• Ability to communicate verbally and in writing.
• Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
• Must be able to walk and stand for long periods.
• Able to participate in crisis prevention intervention.
• Drug/Alcohol free as evidenced by negative results of post offer, pre-employment urine drug screen.

Responsibilities
