About The Position
RD Nutrition Consultants is seeking a Clinical Registered Dietitian (RDN) to support a skilled nursing facility in a part-time capacity. This position offers a consistent schedule with flexibility in selecting your workdays, along with the opportunity to build a long-term relationship with the facility. The role involves completing nutrition assessments, developing care plans, collaborating with care teams, providing education, ensuring regulatory compliance, and maintaining documentation within a skilled nursing facility setting.
Requirements
- Registered Dietitian (RDN) credential required
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or related field
- Active state licensure (if applicable)
- Strong communication and critical-thinking skills
- Experience with EMR/charting systems
Nice To Haves
- Clinical experience preferred (skilled nursing or LTC a plus)
Responsibilities
- Complete nutrition assessments for new admissions and quarterly reviews
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized nutrition care plans
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams (physicians, nurses, therapy, etc.)
- Provide nutrition education and counseling as needed
- Ensure compliance with CMS, DOH, and state/federal regulations
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation
- Monitor resident weights and identify nutrition-related concerns
- Conduct kitchen sanitation audits and support food service quality
- Review and approve menus to ensure USDA compliance
