About The Position

DiningRD is actively seeking a Registered Dietitian for multiple Assisted Living Communities. The consultant would be responsible for quarterly onsite visits to complete food safety and sanitation audits, meal/dining observation audits, and address any nutrition referrals for high-risk residents. This role averages about 32 hours per quarter, approximately 10-12 hours per month. DiningRD has been nurturing joy through food with long-term care dining programs since 1994. We currently provide dietitian consulting and menu services to more than 4,000 healthcare communities across 49 states. Requirements

  • Commission on dietetic registration (CDR) credentials.
  • Licensed (if required by State).
  • Clinical nutrition experience: 2 years (Preferred).
  • CDR # from ASCEND/Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (Required).
  • State License, if required for a Registered Dietitian (Required).
  • Ability to effectively prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Solid interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to represent the company in a professional manner.
  • Enjoy coaching and mentoring others.

Nice To Haves

  • 2 years of consulting experience is preferred, but we will consider many factors.
  • Experience in Long Term Care preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Complete quarterly onsite visits to conduct food safety and sanitation audits.
  • Perform meal/dining observation audits.
  • Address nutrition referrals for high-risk residents.
  • Monitor the nutritional needs of residents in collaboration with the clinical team.
  • Provide nutrition education.
  • Work on MDS with the team.
  • Formulate nutrition assessments with input from the dining manager.
  • Provide guidance on all dining services, including meal rounds and sanitation best practices.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Share dietary expertise by training and providing guidance to dining managers and staff.
  • Assist with policy development.
  • Monitor the implementation of effective nutritional care systems.
