About The Position

DiningRD is actively seeking a Registered Dietitian for multiple Assisted Living Communities. The consultant would be responsible for quarterly onsite visits to complete food safety and sanitation audits, meal/dining observation audits, and address any nutrition referrals for high-risk residents. This role averages about 32 hours per quarter, approximately 10-12 hours per month. DiningRD has been nurturing joy through food with long-term care dining programs since 1994. Requirements

Commission on dietetic registration (CDR) credentials.
Licensed (if required by State).
Clinical nutrition experience: 2 years (Preferred).
CDR # from ASCEND/Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (Required).
State License, if required for a Registered Dietitian (Required).
Ability to effectively prioritize multiple tasks.
Solid interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to represent the company in a professional manner.
Enjoy coaching and mentoring others.

Nice To Haves

2 years of consulting experience is preferred, but we will consider many factors.
Experience in Long Term Care preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Complete quarterly onsite visits to conduct food safety and sanitation audits.
Perform meal/dining observation audits.
Address nutrition referrals for high-risk residents.
Monitor the nutritional needs of residents in collaboration with the clinical team.
Provide nutrition education.
Work on MDS with the team.
Formulate nutrition assessments with input from the dining manager.
Provide guidance on all dining services, including meal rounds and sanitation best practices.
Ensure regulatory compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations.
Share dietary expertise by training and providing guidance to dining managers and staff.
Assist with policy development.
Monitor the implementation of effective nutritional care systems.
