Monte Nido Clementine Calabasas is a residential treatment program for adolescents with Anorexia Nervosa, Bulimia Nervosa, Binge Eating Disorder, or Exercise Addiction. The program supports adolescents and their families in recovery by equipping adolescents with skills to navigate life free of eating disorders. They provide empathy, education, and support to families as partners in the recovery process, helping adolescents replace eating disorders with healthy skills and self-understanding. The nutrition programming is based on health, freedom from eating disordered behaviors, and developmentally appropriate progression toward self-trust and internally-directed eating. The HAES-informed nutritional care recognizes that healthy, recovered people come in all shapes and sizes, that all bodies deserve nourishment and satiety, and promotes behavior-focused, rather than weight-focused philosophies. Weight loss attempts are contraindicated for recovery, and the kitchens and food environments are open and accessible in a homelike setting.
