The Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) aims to safeguard the health of low-income women, infants, and children up to age 5 by providing healthy foods, nutrition and breastfeeding education, and referrals to health and social services. This is a grant funded program which is subject to annual renewal. The WIC dietitian works within the guidelines of the Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants and Children (WIC) to provide nutrition assessment, education, planning, and consultation services. This position will work with high risk pregnant women, infants, and children under age of 5 years to meet the requirements of the WIC program and influence positive outcomes for families.
