No matter the reason, you will help these patients develop personal diet plans to achieve their goals. This is a part-time role. A caregiver in this position works days, between 8:00am and 4:30pm or 7:30am and 4:00pm. This role will provide support to Akron and Medina Cleveland Clinic facilities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Nutrition, Dietetics or a related field
  • Must also possess clinical specialty credential or advanced degree in nutrition (e.g. MS degree in Nutrition, MPH in Public Health Nutrition, Med. Master's Degree in Nutrition Education, etc
  • Current licensure as a Licensed Dietitian (LD)
  • Active certification as a Registered Dietitian (RD)
  • Minimum three years prior experience as a Registered Dietitian in therapeutic nutrition, with responsibility for nutritional assessment, nutrition care plan development and patient follow up.

Nice To Haves

  • One year of experience as a Registered Dietitian in Clinical Nutrition OR successful completion of CCF Dietetic Internship Program

Responsibilities

  • Provides direct patient care using medical nutrition therapy for an assigned patient population.
  • Serves as a nutritional care specialist.
  • Provides counseling and education services to patients.
  • Initiates nutrient intake assessments, implements a nutritional care plan, communicates plan, establishes a follow up system and maintains documentation.
  • Coordinates efforts of dietetic technician(s) assigned to area.
  • Develops and contributes to Cleveland Clinic sponsored education programs.
  • Creates and revises education materials related to disease management through medical nutrition therapy.
  • Supports the dietetic internship program as a supervised practice rotation preceptor and class instructor.
  • Participates in program development.
  • Markets nutrition services to potential and current referral sources.
  • Conducts research; acts as a technical resource for the development, implementation, publishing and presentation.
  • Develops and implements services.
  • Contributes to initiatives, committees and projects.
  • Completes productivity reports.
  • Participates in professional growth activities; attends and contributes to conferences and seminars on nutrition and related topics.
  • Complies with all regulatory organizations including CMS, JCAHO, AOA and policy and procedures of the department and Cleveland Clinic.
  • Other duties as assigned.
