About The Position

Under the administrative supervision of the Clinical Services Supervisor, CSDD/Clinical Services Unit and the clinical supervision of the CSDD Senior Registered Dietitian, this role works with persons with developmental disabilities and mental illness that live in group homes, family homes, or independently. The position involves assessing and implementing nutrition care plans based on medical needs to maintain adequate health and nutrition, providing consultation and in-services to staff, offering 1:1 nutrition counseling and support to individuals, and evaluating the adequacy of food service and sanitation techniques within group homes. The Registered Dietitian is responsible for carrying out all activities of the program/sub-unit in a manner that fulfills CMHA-CEI’s mission, policies, and procedures.

Requirements

Possession of a Bachelor's Degree in Nutrition or Dietetics required.
Registration from the Commission on Dietetic Registration of the American Dietetic Association as a Registered Dietitian required.
Ability to communicate effectively both in writing and verbally required.
Possession of a valid Michigan driver’s license and access to reliable transportation for job related use required.
Must undergo and pass a Central Registry Clearance check.
Must pass pre-employment 5-panel drug screen.
