As a Registered Dietician, you will evaluate the nutritional status and implement nutrition care plans for our residents. Requirements

  • Active registration through the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR)
  • Valid and active license, per state requirements
  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Clinical Dietetics, Nutrition or related field
  • Previous experience in long-term care setting preferred
  • Strong clinical skills and critical thinking abilities
  • Compassionate and empathetic approach to patient care
  • Interest in the nutrition and health care needs of the aged and the chronically ill with the ability to work with both
  • Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment

Responsibilities

  • Conduct onsite, comprehensive nutritional assessments for residents
  • Develop and ensure the implementation of individualized nutrition care plans
  • Collaborate with onsite interdisciplinary teams to ensure nutritional adequacy and compliance to federal, state and local regulations
  • Assist food service director in managing costs, overseeing food preparation and service, and developing department staffing plans
  • Educate residents, families, and staff on nutritional requirements and healthy eating habits
  • Monitor and evaluate residents' nutritional status and make necessary adjustments to care plans
