About The Position
Garden Gate Health Care Facility, part of The McGuire Group is currently seeking a compassionate and experienced Registered Dietician (RD) to support the nutritional needs of residents in our skilled nursing and rehabilitation center.
Requirements
- Current Registered Dietitian (RD) credential by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR)
- Bachelor's Degree in Dietetics, Nutrition, or related field
- New York State certification (or eligibility) as a Certified Dietitian/Nutritionist (CDN)
- Strong communication and assessment skills
Nice To Haves
- Experience in long-term care or skilled nursing facility
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive nutritional assessments for new and current residents
- Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans
- Collaborate with nursing, dietary, and medical teams to ensure optimal nutrition
- Monitor weight trends, food intake, and lab values to adjust plans as needed
- Provide nutrition education and counseling to residents, families, and staff
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and facility regulations
