About The Position

Unidine is hiring immediately for a Registered Dietetic Technician (NDTR) position at Island Nursing and Rehab Center in Holtsville, NY. This is a full-time role in a 120-bed skilled nursing facility, with a schedule of Sunday - Thursday, 10 am - 6 pm or 11 am - 7 pm, which can be flexible some weeks if needed. The position requires the candidate to be credentialed by the Commission on Dietetic Registration or eligible. The pay range is $29 - $33 per hour. Requirements

  • Credentialed as a Nutrition and Dietetics Technician, Registered by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR), preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition or related Science, required
  • One (1) year of senior living experience, preferred
  • Possess the necessary skills to effectively utilize Microsoft office applications, electronic medical record & diet office systems, and nutrient analysis programming

  • Credentialed as a Nutrition and Dietetics Technician, Registered by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR)
  • One (1) year of senior living experience

Responsibilities

  • Assists the Dietitian with resident data collection, nutrition screening, and modified menu planning
  • Assists residents in completing menu selections
  • Follows all guidelines as outlined within the Company Diet Manual and the Clinical Nutrition Policies & Procedures Manual
  • Complies with all regulatory standards to include federal, state, and accrediting agencies, while adhering to facility confidentiality, HIPPA regulations, and patient rights policies
  • Trains and mentor’s resident services staff and interns as applicable
  • Participates in resident satisfaction programs, departmental meetings, and facility wide Quality Assurance/Performance Improvement programs
