Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (Full-Time)
About The Position
Newberry County Memorial Hospital (NCMH), a 90-bed, acute care, independent, not-for-profit, community hospital located in Newberry County, South Carolina, is seeking a full-time Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer. This role involves performing Ultrasound imaging and procedures, verifying orders, providing accurate computer documentation, and ensuring timely interpretation of studies by physicians. The hospital is situated in a progressive, largely rural area with a sense of history and community, approximately 30 minutes from Greenville, Spartanburg, and Columbia.
Requirements
- South Carolina Radiation Quality Standards Association (SCQRSA) license required
- Must be registered as a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS)
- Must have prostate sonography experience.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) required
Nice To Haves
- Vascular Experience (RVT)/ CCI (RVS) preferred
- Echo (RDCS/CCI (ACS) preferred
Responsibilities
- Performs Ultrasound imaging and procedures.
- Checks orders/requisitions prior to performing the imaging study/procedure.
- Provides accurate computer documentation.
- Monitors procedures for timely interpretation by physicians.
