About The Position
Newberry County Memorial Hospital (NCMH), a 90-bed, acute care, independent, not-for-profit, community hospital located in Newberry County, South Carolina, is seeking a full-time Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer, PRN. This role involves performing Ultrasound imaging and procedures, verifying orders/requisitions, providing accurate computer documentation, and monitoring procedures for timely physician interpretation. NCMH is a Joint Commission Gold Seal approved hospital with a strong board, excellent leadership, and exceptional staff, having earned numerous awards.
Requirements
- South Carolina Radiation Quality Standards Association (SCQRSA) license required
- Must be registered as a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) required
Nice To Haves
- Vascular Experience (RVT)/ CCI (RVS) preferred
- Echo (RDCS/CCI (ACS) preferred
Responsibilities
- Performs Ultrasound imaging and procedures
- Checks orders/requisitions prior to performing the imaging study/procedure
- Provides accurate computer documentation
- Monitors procedures for timely interpretation by physicians
