Requirements

  • A registered dental hygienist licensed in California

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Airflow therapy for biofilm management
  • Experience with Periodontal endoscopy, including perioscopy
  • Experience with Laser-assisted periodontal therapy
  • Experience with Intraoral scanning and digital workflows
  • A hygienist interested in continued growth, advanced technology, and potentially expanding beyond traditional hygiene responsibilities.

Responsibilities

  • Periodontal and peri-implant maintenance
  • Scaling and root planing
  • Biofilm management and patient-specific home-care instruction
  • Comprehensive periodontal charting and clinical documentation
  • Collaboration with doctors on periodontal treatment planning and disease management
  • Education regarding periodontal health, dental implants, systemic health, and long-term maintenance
  • Reviewing health histories and periodontal findings
  • Helping prepare patients for comprehensive examinations
  • Reinforcing doctor diagnoses and recommendations
  • Helping patients understand treatment timing, sequencing, and next steps
  • Supporting continuity from diagnosis through active treatment and maintenance
  • Assisting with patient communication surrounding periodontal and implant procedures
