About The Position
Finger Lakes Community Health is seeking a Registered Dental Hygienist to join their expanding dental team. This role is vital in providing patients with preventative dental services and education. The position will primarily work with the school-based dental team, traveling onsite to area schools for treatment, but may also be required to work in the Health Centers as needed. Finger Lakes Community Health is one of the fastest-growing health centers in New York State, serving over 28,000 patients across eight health centers with primary care, dental, and behavioral health services.
Requirements
- A current, unrestricted NYS Dental Hygienist License required
- CPR certification required
- Excellent customer service and problem-solving skills
- Outstanding organizational skills and attention to detail
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with personnel, patients, and community partners
- Proven ability to handle confidential information with discretion
- The ability to work flexible hours -- some evenings are required
Nice To Haves
- Prior experience is a plus, but not required
- The ability to communicate fluently in both Spanish and English is preferred
Responsibilities
- Provide preventative dental services including health education, screenings, prophylaxis, fluoride, and sealants.
- Travel onsite to area schools for treatment as part of the school-based dental team.
- Work in Health Centers as needed.
