About The Position

Timber Dental - Downtown is expanding its services to include general dentistry and dental hygiene alongside its existing specialty care. The Registered Dental Hygienist will provide patient-centered preventative care and education in a collaborative, team-focused environment. The assisted hygiene model pairs hygienists with a dedicated dental assistant while they manage two columns, supporting efficient, high-quality care and lasting patient relationships. Compensation includes a guaranteed base pay of $65 per hour plus commission. The schedule is Mondays and Tuesdays, with the opportunity to pick up shifts at other locations.

Requirements

• Active Dental Hygienist license in the applicable state.
• Current CPR/BLS certification.
• Strong clinical skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and patient education abilities.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Positive attitude and commitment to patient-centered care.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive dental hygiene procedures, including prophylaxis, periodontal maintenance, and scaling and root planing.
• Conduct periodontal charting and thorough patient assessments.
• Take and review digital radiographs (X-rays).
• Educate patients on oral hygiene, home care, and preventative treatments.
• Identify and communicate areas of concern to the doctor.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
• Follow infection control and sterilization protocols.
• Create a comfortable and positive experience for patients.
