Headquartered on the Northwest Side of Chicago (Edison Park), Webster Dental Care numbers 10 dental practices throughout the Chicagoland area with 250 employees, including dentists, dental specialists, dental hygienists, support staff and administrators. The Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) will clean teeth and examine oral areas, head, and neck for signs of oral disease. The RDH also educates patients on oral hygiene, acquire digital imaging, and applies fluoride or sealants.

Requirements

Associate degree in Dental Hygiene from a CODA Accredited Program
Active Illinois dental hygiene license
Current CPR/BLS Certification
In-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations in this profession (e.g., HIPAA, OSHA)
Experience in preparing and maintaining dental equipment
Outstanding communication skills
Outgoing and compassionate personality
Strong attention to detail
Stamina to meet the physical demand of the job

Experience working with Dentrix and/or Eaglesoft Software

Responsibilities

Update electronic health records
Utilize oral pathology screening tools
Record periodontal findings
Complete radiographs and dental impressions
Work with treating doctor to Identify conditions including gingivitis, periodontitis, and restorative needs
Perform other identified procedures
Provide patient-centered oral health education
Offer post-operative instructions
Document treatment in electronic records
Follow infection control and OSHA standards for disinfection and sterilization of spaces and armamentarium
Monitor materials and supplies
Provide optimal patient care
Other duties as assigned
