Our team is committed to collaboration, innovation, and creating a positive impact in the communities we serve. We are seeking a Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) to join our dental care team. The Dental Hygienist works closely with the dentist to support the oral health needs of patients while delivering compassionate, patient-centered care. This role performs dental hygiene services in accordance with Florida dental hygiene standards and TFHC policies.

Requirements

  • Current Florida Dental Hygiene License
  • Current CPR certification
  • Ability to communicate clearly in English and follow oral and written instructions
  • Strong patient care, teamwork, and communication skills
  • Ability to build positive relationships with patients and staff

Nice To Haves

  • Previous dental hygiene experience preferred, but not required

Responsibilities

  • Complete patient screenings, including oral health assessments, health history review, oral cancer screenings, dental charting, and taking blood pressure and pulse
  • Take dental radiographs as needed
  • Remove calculus and plaque from all surfaces of the teeth
  • Apply preventive materials, including sealants and fluoride
  • Educate patients on proper oral hygiene, including brushing, flossing, and nutrition counseling
  • Counsel patients on the impact of nutrition on oral health
  • Assist with impressions for study casts as needed
  • Complete accurate documentation and support office management activities
  • Help identify dental supply, material, and equipment needs
  • Assist with coordinating maintenance and equipment service requests
  • Maintain positive and professional communication with patients and team members
  • Travel to different TFHC locations when coverage is needed
  • Perform other duties as assigned
