Registered Dental Assistant
About The Position
Piper Glen Dental Group is seeking a Registered Dental Assistant to support the practice’s commitment to clinical excellence and a positive patient experience. The role offers opportunities to learn from experienced professionals, develop clinical efficiency, and work with modern dental technology alongside a team serving the local community. The Dental Assistant acts as both a patient and clinician advocate and helps create a comfortable, clean, sterile, and cheerful environment. Under the dentist’s direction, the assistant supports patient treatment, takes X-rays and intra-oral pictures when appropriate, and follows applicable sterilization, safety, and regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist as necessary to help gain the patient’s commitment to the best possible treatment with urgency.
- Maintain a clean, sterile, and cheerful environment where patients feel comfortable.
- Complete X-rays and intra-oral pictures of patients as appropriate and at the direction of the dentist.
- Sterilize and disinfect instruments, equipment, and operatories in accordance with American Dental Association guidelines.
- Maintain compliance with applicable state, federal, and other regulations and policies, including OSHA, WC, Dental Board, HIPAA, ADA, and DOL requirements.
