About The Position

River Dental is seeking a Registered Dental Assistant for a fixed-term position until August 2027. We have been serving Medicine Hat and surrounding areas for over 55 years, offering full-service dental care including orthodontics, endodontics, oral surgery, cosmetic services, and sedation services. We utilize advanced dental technology such as 3D X-Ray Imaging, Cerec 3D, and Laser Technologies to provide high-quality care. Requirements

• Registered and/or Certified as a Dental Assistant with your Provincial regulatory body or association
• Legally authorized to work in Canada

Nice To Haves

• Previous dental assisting experience is preferred

Responsibilities

• Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials for procedures, ensuring a clean and safe environment
• Assist dentists and hygienists during treatments, maintaining patient comfort and workflow
• Take dental X-rays and digital images as required
• Perform instrument sterilization and infection control following IPAC standards
• Update patient charts and provide education on oral hygiene and post-treatment care
• Support scheduling, patient flow, and administrative tasks
• Collaborate with the dental team to deliver efficient, high-quality care
• Follow all privacy, safety, and regulatory guidelines
• Establish strong patient relationships while maintaining ethical professional behaviour
