About The Position
Dentistry for Children is seeking a passionate Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) to join their team in Toms River, NJ. The RDA will be responsible for providing top-notch dental care to young patients, performing coronal polishing, and educating patients on oral hygiene. The role emphasizes creating positive patient experiences and contributing to patients' oral health and overall well-being. The position offers a sign-on bonus of $2,500 and a starting pay of $31.00/hr. The schedule is Monday-Friday 8 AM to 5 PM, with occasional weekend needs.
Requirements
- Graduate of an approved Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) program
- Current X-Ray certification in the State of New Jersey
- CPR certified
- Ability to work on children in the State of New Jersey, determined through national FBI Fingerprinting Background Check

Responsibilities
- Must be able to work in a kid-friendly environment
- Provides instrumentation by sterilizing and delivering instruments to treatment area; positioning instruments for dentist’s access; suctioning; passing instruments
- Provides diagnostic information by exposing and developing radiographic studies
- Prepares treatment room for patient by following prescribed procedures and protocols
- Provides materials by selecting, mixing, and placing materials on instruments and in the patient’s mouth
- Follow OSHA, Infection Control, and other standards for protection against bloodborne pathogens
- Clean and sterilize all instruments following OSHA Guidelines. This includes: scrubbing the instruments, packing the instruments, running the instruments through the statim or autoclave
