Rogers Family Dentistry is looking for a compassionate, detail-oriented Registered Dental Assistant who is ready to work across the full range of procedures our team offers. Requirements

  • Current Ohio Dental Assistant certification required, including completion of an Ohio-approved radiation safety and radiography course
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Dentrix experience required
  • Experienced dental assistants strongly preferred
  • Current CPR certification required
  • Strong knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and instruments across a broad range of treatment types
  • Detail-oriented and highly organized
  • Calm, compassionate chairside manner that puts patients of all ages and anxiety levels at ease
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with both patients and colleagues
  • Ability to work efficiently and multitask confidently in a fast-paced clinical environment
  • Positive, collaborative team player who fits naturally into a supportive practice culture

Responsibilities

  • Prepare treatment rooms and ensure all instruments, materials, and equipment are set up and ready before every appointment
  • Provide expert chairside assistance to our dentists across a full range of procedures: preventive, restorative, cosmetic, dental implants, oral surgery, periodontal treatment, sedation dentistry, laser dentistry, clear aligner treatment, wisdom tooth extractions, TMJ/TMD treatment, Botox, and emergency dentistry
  • Take and process dental radiographs as needed in compliance with Ohio state regulations
  • Maintain strict infection control protocols; sterilize and manage instruments and equipment in full compliance with OSHA standards
  • Ensure patient comfort and safety throughout every phase of treatment
  • Record patient medical and dental histories accurately and maintain up-to-date patient records in compliance with HIPAA
  • Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care instructions with clarity and compassion
  • Manage dental supply inventory and order materials as needed to keep the practice running smoothly
  • Cross-train at the front desk to assist with scheduling, check-in/check-out, phones, and patient communication
  • Utilize Dentrix for patient records, treatment documentation, and scheduling support
  • Ensure seamless patient flow and coordinate with the dental team to maintain efficiency throughout the day
