About The Position
The Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) supports dental care delivery by preparing treatment rooms, patients, instruments, and materials; passing instruments and materials; and performing procedures in compliance with the Dental Practice Act. This is a temporary position where you can fully utilize your RDA skills working with Pediatric Dentists, Orthodontists, and Anesthesiologists. CHOICE is the largest provider of pediatric dental care in the Southwest United States, and we pride ourselves on delivering high quality care to children in our communities.
Requirements
- California Registered Dental Assistant License
- X-Ray Certification
- Coronal Polish Certification
- Current BLS certification
Nice To Haves
- Certification from a dental college OR 3+ months related experience and/or training OR Equivalent combination of education and experience
- Bilingual in Spanish
- Sealant Certification
Responsibilities
- Assists the doctor in procedures
- Operated x-ray equipment and takes x-rays
- Prophy teeth
- Instructs patients on oral hygiene
- Chart and treatment plan with doctor
- Sterilizes instruments
- Setup and prepares rooms for hygiene and treatment
- Take IO's
- Charting
- Sealants, if applicable
