About The Position
The role of a Registered Dental Assistant is pivotal in supporting prosthodontists and ensuring the smooth operation of the clinic. This position requires a skilled and motivated individual with a strong background in dental assisting, with a preferred emphasis on prosthodontics. The right candidate will work closely with the prosthodontist, providing essential chairside support during procedures, maintaining a sterile and organized clinical environment, and upholding the highest standards of patient care and professionalism.
Requirements
- High School Diploma and reliable transportation are required.
- Strong motivation to learn, with a genuine passion for patient care and clinical excellence.
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience as a Registered Dental Assistant required, with prosthodontic or restorative experience preferred.
- Basic computer proficiency, including email and Microsoft Office applications.
- Willingness to travel as needed to support clinic operations.
- Excellent communication, attention to detail, and reliability are essential for success in this role.
- Current CPR certification
- Valid Radiology certification
- New Hampshire Medical Technician (MedTech) certification
- Massachusetts Dental Assistant License
Nice To Haves
- Familiarity with Open Dental software is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Assist chairside proficiently during a variety of prosthodontic procedures, including impressions, restorations, and laboratory coordination.
- Prepare, break down, disinfect, and sterilize treatment rooms and instruments to maintain optimal hygiene standards.
- Ensure strict compliance with infection control, CDC, OSHA, and HIPAA regulations to guarantee a safe environment for patients and staff.
- Capture high-quality radiographic images and maintain accurate and detailed patient records.
- Provide patients with clear pre- and post-procedure care instructions to support their comfort and recovery.
- Maintain thorough documentation and charting to ensure continuity of care and smooth clinical operations.
