About The Position

Assist the supervising dentist with procedures within the scope of an RDA as outlined in Title 16, chapter 3 This position is represented by RCHEA. Requirements

  • High School graduate or GED required
  • Minimum of one year experience in dental office or similar setting
  • Current CPR Certification
  • Licensed as a Registered Dental Assistant by the State of California within three months of hire
  • Employee must conform with all HIPAA and other confidentiality regulations as required by the job, department, or hospital

Responsibilities

  • Assists in daily office functions such as answering phones, making appointments, registering patients and breaking down charts at the end of the day.
  • Assists in the scheduling of dental patients.
  • Cleans and sterilizes dental equipment and operatories between patients. Maintains and meets expectations on time for all competencies, license, certifications and education requirements as outlined by local administration, Adventist Health (AH), The Joint Commission (TJC), Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), and all other regulatory agencies.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned.
  • Sets up the trays used for each procedure.
  • Willingly performs other duties and innovations as assigned.
