About The Position

Big Smiles is seeking a Registered Dental Assistant to provide dental care to underserved children at schools in Stockton, California, and surrounding areas. The role is part of a school-based mobile dental program that brings preventive and restorative care directly to students using portable dental equipment or a self-contained mobile dental facility. School venues may be set up as fully functional dental offices for the day, with the aim of providing care while minimally disrupting the normal school routine.

The position involves traveling daily to school sites and assisting during mobile dental clinics. The schedule follows the school day, typically about 6–7 hours and averaging between 8:00 A.M. and 3:00 P.M. Big Smiles describes the work as offering evenings, weekends, and summers off, along with flexible scheduling. Full-time and part-time positions are available. Compensation is $18–$25 per hour. The role includes a health, dental, and vision benefit package and use of state-of-the-art portable dental equipment and digital radiography.

Requirements

• X-ray license.
• Experience with digital X-ray imaging.
• CPR certification.
• Work experience as a Dental Assistant.
• Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and willingness to travel.
• Ability to work well with children.
• Organized, detail-oriented, and able to multitask.
• Able to work as a team player on a small team.

Nice To Haves

• Coronal polishing experience (preferred, not required).

Responsibilities
