This role is for a Float Registered Dental Assistant within the Comprehensive Care Center.

Requirements

Possess both California license for Registered Dental Assistant and sealant certificate.
Possession of State Radiological Certification.
Graduation from high school.
Desire to work closely with patients and staff.

Nice To Haves

Two years’ experience is preferred.
Preferably bilingual in English and Spanish.
Willingness to participate in expanded duty program as such program becomes operational.

Responsibilities

Under the direct supervision of a dentist, perform dental procedures as instructed by a licensed dentist who must be physically present.
Assist the dentist in all aspects of chairside assisting, including draping and seating the patient, and preparing the dental tray setup.
Confirm all treatment is recorded in the patient's chart and indicated on route slips.
Operate dental radiography equipment.
Apply topical agents.
Remove dressings.
Act as an active and enthusiastic team member.
Fill in as Dental Receptionist, answering telephone calls, assisting incoming patients, and performing other designated tasks.
Follow Infection Control, HIPPA, and Radiology policies.
Adhere to sterilization protocols and demonstrate consistent adherence to the sterilization process.
Perform other work-related duties as required.
