About The Position

Quality Correctional Care provides medical, mental health, and addiction services in county jails. The company is Indiana-owned and serves 75% of the market share. The Registered Dental Assistant supports the dentist in providing dental care, including documenting patient histories, preparing instruments and treatment rooms, taking dental radiographs, maintaining supplies, and performing patient charting as instructed. The role is part-time, with workdays beginning and ending at the company’s Corporate Office in Carmel. The schedule is 1–2 days per week, Monday through Friday, with no weekends. Compensation is $25–$27 per hour, based on experience.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
1–2 years of experience as a Registered Dental Assistant.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to follow outlined policies and guidelines.
Professional and positive attitude.

Nice To Haves

Licensed as a Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) or Registered Dental Assistant in Extended Functions (RDAEF).
Current CPR certification.
Radiology certification.
Correctional experience; preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Take and document patient dental history and updates, as well as overall health and medication history.
Assist the dentist by handling supplies and instruments as requested.
Prepare tables and trays for the dentist with necessary instruments and supplies.
Clean and sterilize instruments and prepare treatment rooms as needed.
Take, expose, and mount high-quality dental radiographs.
Ensure an appropriate supply of equipment and materials.
Perform patient charting as instructed by the dentist.
