Requirements

Valid RDA License
Minimum of 1 year of dental assisting experience
Knowledge of dental procedures, instruments, sterilization techniques (OSHA compliance), infection control protocols, and taking dental impressions/X-rays
Strong communication, empathy, and customer service skills are vital for comforting anxious patients and effectively coordinating with the dental team
The ability to work precisely with instruments in a small space and follow detailed instructions is essential

Nice To Haves

Bilingual in Spanish is a plus
Dentrix experience is a plus

Responsibilities

Provide chairside assistance to dentists during examinations and procedures.
Prepare patients for treatment, ensuring they are comfortable and informed.
Sterilize and maintain dental instruments and equipment according to OSHA compliance and infection control protocols.
Take dental impressions and X-rays as directed by the dentist.
Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
Maintain patient records and update information in the Dentrix system.
Coordinate with the dental team to ensure smooth patient flow and efficient office operations.
Handle local travel as required for the role.
