About The Position

Children’s Dental FunZone is seeking a licensed Registered Dental Assistant with orthodontic experience to join its rapidly growing pediatric dental practice in Los Angeles. The practice serves children, toddlers, and teens with preventive pediatric dental care and orthodontics, emphasizing compassionate, patient-centered care and teamwork. The role is full-time, with a schedule of Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and Saturday, 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.; availability to work two Saturdays per month is required. Pay is $25.00–$30.00 per hour, negotiable based on experience and subject to change, with monthly bonuses and benefits.

Requirements

Must be a licensed Registered Dental Assistant.
Orthodontic experience.
X-ray license.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Excellent communication and computer skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Must love working with children.
Upbeat personality.
Availability to work two Saturdays per month.
Familiarity with dental terminology, materials, medications, and instruments used during dental procedures.

Nice To Haves

Bilingual Spanish is a plus.

Responsibilities

Clean and sterilize instruments and set up trays for dental procedures.
Maintain and test equipment, including sterilizers, X-ray dosimetry equipment, and X-ray processors.
Pour models and perform other laboratory procedures.
Instruct patients in oral hygiene and preventive dental care.
Chart and document examination findings in patient records.
Keep the operatory and laboratory clean, orderly, and well stocked.
Follow protective protocols to ensure personal safety and the safety of others.
