This position assists the supervising dentist with procedures within the scope of an RDA as outlined in Title 16, chapter 3. The role is responsible for assisting in daily office functions such as answering phones, making appointments, registering patients, and breaking down charts at the end of the day. It also involves assisting in the scheduling of dental patients, cleaning and sterilizing dental equipment and operatories between patients, and setting up trays for each procedure. The position requires maintaining competencies, license, certifications, and education requirements as outlined by local administration, Adventist Health (AH), The Joint Commission (TJC), Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), and all other regulatory agencies. The employee must also conform with all HIPAA and other confidentiality regulations.
