Rivers Health is hiring a Respiratory Therapist to provide the essential functions below: 1. Perform all respiratory therapy modalities. 1. Perform all clerical activities necessary to ascertain appropriate records are maintained. 1. Perform all diagnostic test required, demonstrate knowledge of all equipment and ability to relate any suspected changes to physician. 1. Ability to confer with other PVH personnel and physicians concerning patient treatment regimens and recommend changes as appropriate. 1. Maintain a professional attitude while dealing with clients, visitors, family members and other personnel. 1. Attend inservices as directed by department coordinator/supervisor or by hospital policies and procedures. 1. Assist with Holter monitoring application. Performs and screens EKG’s and processes them in the data management system. 1. Assist with Performance Improvement program. 1. Demonstrates excellence in customer service skills. 1. Fosters an atmosphere of teamwork and collaboration. 1. Participates in quality improvement activities including serving on quality improvement teams. 1. Other duties that may be assigned. 1. Complies with Corporate Policies, Departmental Policies and Procedures and Employee Handbook. EDUCATION AND FORMAL TRAINING: Graduate of an approved Respiratory Care program. Valid West Virginia license as a Respiratory Care Practitioner. WORK EXPERIENCE: Health related field preferred. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED: Must demonstrate the ability to effectively communicate with, understand and address the varying needs of the ages of all clients, including neonates, pediatrics, adolescents, adults and geriatrics.
