About The Position
This position is for a Registered/Certified Clinical Medical Assistant in an Internal Medicine setting. The role involves a variety of patient care and administrative tasks to support the physician and ensure smooth clinic operations. Adherence to HIPAA, OSHA, and Bloodborne Pathogen regulations is mandatory, along with maintaining associated workplace trainings.
Requirements
- Must be a Registered or Certified Clinical Medical Assistant
- Licensed Practical Nurse may also be considered
Responsibilities
- Answering telephones
- Tasking
- Triage
- Pre-certifications
- Medication Refills
- Assistance with scheduling on occasion
- Rooming patients
- Obtaining and documenting patient vitals and histories
- Preparing patients for exams
- Assisting physician (provider) with exams and minor procedures
- Administering injections
- Stocking, monitoring and cleaning exam rooms/work area and patient waiting areas
- Adhering to HIPAA/OSHA/BLOODBORNE PATHOGEN regulations and maintaining associated workplace trainings
- Performing various other duties as assigned/needed
