About The Position

UMass Memorial Health is seeking a Registered Cardiac Ultrasound Technologist to join their team. This position is responsible for performing all types of Cardiac Ultrasound procedures, including Transthoracic Echocardiogram, Treadmill Stress Echocardiograms, and Dobutamine Stress Echocardiograms. The role involves operating various ultrasound equipment, performing portable exams in different hospital areas and off-site locations, recording images, and completing preliminary reports using Epic. The technologist will also serve as a resource to sonographers, MDs, and students. Requirements

Specialized post-secondary training equal to two years of college.
Registration required by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS), including the RDCS (Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer, under the ARDMS) or Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) for cardiac specialties.

Responsibilities

Performs specialized or general procedures according to established departmental protocols.
Performs ultrasound procedures for Cardiac Ultrasound procedures and other specific areas as required.
Operates all types of Ultrasound equipment.
Performs portable exams in various areas throughout the hospital to include the Operating Room and Intensive Care Units and off-site locations.
Records images and makes hard copies (CD’s) where applicable.
Uses Epic to schedule and complete exams as applicable.
Completes preliminary reports in Epic.
Serves as a resource to sonographers, MDs, and students.
