RBT Academy - Registered Behavioral Technician
About The Position
BAYADA Home Health Care is seeking dedicated Registered Behavioral Technicians (RBTs), including candidates who are interested in obtaining the RBT credential. The credential is offered through the Behavior Analyst Certification Board and is required in Hawaii for individuals providing services on ABA or insurance-based contracts. BAYADA pays for training and provides extensive supervision. The position involves working one-on-one in the home, community, autism center, or school with children and young adults diagnosed with autism. Part-time positions are available, with shifts Monday through Friday and weekends if desired; many shifts are early mornings or afternoons. Starting pay is $26–$30 per hour.
Requirements
- Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) credential, or interest in pursuing the credential.
- CPR/FA.
Nice To Haves
- One year of experience working with children with developmental or intellectual disabilities is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Work directly with clients and follow established treatment or behavior support plans when implementing skill acquisition and behavior reduction procedures.
- Establish and maintain supportive, therapeutic relationships with clients and families while respecting their values, thoughts, beliefs, and attitudes.
- Implement behavior therapy techniques as instructed by the Behavioral Services Manager and Behavior Specialist.
- Document interventions and progress toward goals accurately and promptly.
- Collect behavior data as specified in the client’s behavior support plan.
- Review data and progress reports with the Behavioral Services Manager and Behavior Specialist to strategize program improvements.
- As applicable to the treatment plan, provide habilitation, training, instruction, and assistance to help clients acquire and maintain skills and meet identified goals.
- As applicable, provide transportation related to treatment-plan activities.
- Provide training or support in interpersonal skills, developing and maintaining personal relationships, and participating in the client’s community.
- Monitor clients’ health status and physical condition and report changes or incidents to the office.
