About The Position

Sunny Days Sunshine Center is seeking dynamic Registered Behavior Therapist (RBT) professionals with a desire to invoke positive change in the lives of young children and their families. We offer flexible schedules for part-time positions with daytime, after school, early evening, and/or weekend availability. We are hiring RBT therapists to work at our Outpatient Pediatric Center located in Edison, NJ. The Sunny Days Sunshine Center offers children and their families a place for developmental services and Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) therapy. A one-of-a-kind center designed to promote positive behavior, increase quality of life, and enable individuality, the Sunshine Center embraces children and their individual needs. The Sunshine Center is dedicated to children of all ages experiencing challenges with learning, social skills, sensory processing, speech/language difficulties, and/or motor development delays. The Sunny Days Sunshine Center provides both individual and group Occupational, Speech, and Physical Therapy sessions to children of all ages.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 1 year experience working with children with autism & using ABA methodologies is required.
  • Candidates must be energetic, animated, and outgoing, with a passion for helping children achieve their true potential.

Nice To Haves

  • Associates or Bachelor’s Degree in Applied Behavior Analysis field is preferred but not required.
  • We will provide coursework to obtain RBT at our Center, if interested.

Responsibilities

  • Implement individualized applied behavior programming under the direction of a BCBA, including direct 1:1 ABA therapy.
  • Use the basic principles of applied behavior analysis (ABA) such as: reinforcement, prompting, and shaping techniques.
  • Teach ABA, social, and daily living skills.
  • Effectively respond to and minimize difficult or disruptive behaviors.
  • Create a fun, motivating experience to generate the highest level of performance for every individual.
  • Collect data on ABA programming targets and utilizing an online system to enter, track, and view progress.
  • Provide support to parents, teachers, and caregivers to make the most of their efforts in making our programs universal across all areas of the child's environment.
  • Implement programs designed by BCBA.
