About The Position

Registered Behavior Technician - Full Time | Outpatient. This role involves implementing measurement procedures, collecting data on client behaviors, and describing behaviors and environments in measurable terms. The technician will also be responsible for identifying essential components of skill acquisition plans, utilizing various teaching methods, and carrying out processes like stimulus control transfer and prompt fading. Additionally, the role requires preparing objective session notes, maintaining consistent communication with supervisors, adhering to BACB's RBT supervision requirements, maintaining professional boundaries, and client dignity. Communication with stakeholders as authorized is also a key responsibility.

Requirements

  • Graduate of education program approved by the credentialing body for the required credential(s) indicated below in the Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations section.
  • Student of an education program on a path to working with persons diagnosed with an autism spectrum disorder.
  • 1+ year of experience as a Registered Behavior Technician
  • BACB RBT Certification (must be active and in good standing)
  • American Heart Association CPR/BLS with a live component or willing to obtain within 30 days of employment
  • Demonstrates the skills and competencies necessary to safely perform the assigned job, determined through ongoing skills, competency assessments, and performance evaluations.
  • Sufficient proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing the English language necessary to perform the essential functions of this job, especially regarding activities impacting patient or employee safety or security.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with patients, providers, and co-workers in a manner consistent with a customer service focus and application of positive language principles.
  • Ability to work independently, capable of handling challenging/difficult therapy procedures and patient care situations; demonstrates sound judgment and executes above-average clinical skills.
  • Exhibits strong interpersonal, teamwork, and leadership skills with all levels of the healthcare team and assures delivery of excellent customer service to all patients, visitors, and co-workers.
  • Possesses proficient computer knowledge
  • Demonstrate professional competence
