About The Position

This position involves working with students with special needs in a school setting within the Saddleback Valley Unified School District. The Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) will report to the Emotional Support Special Education Teacher and will be responsible for providing behavior management support, implementing interventions developed by a Behavior Analyst (BCBA), and transferring skills to individuals in their natural support environment. The role also includes assisting the Educational Administrator by deploying Instructional Assistants and supporting teachers in managing student behaviors.

Requirements

Must be 21 years of age or older
Valid Drivers License required
Must have RBT Certification or RBT eligibility required
High School diploma or GED required

Nice To Haves

Bachelors degree preferred
At least 1 year of work experience with children or adolescents with behavior challenges preferred.

Responsibilities

Provides behavior management support to individuals in a school setting.
Carries out specific interventions that are developed by the Behavior Analyst (BCBA).
Transfers skills to individuals’ natural support in the least restrictive environment.
Assists the Educational Administrator by deploying Instructional Assistants strategically throughout the facility.
Supports teachers in managing student behaviors.
