About The Position

The Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) at Abundant Life Family Services (ALFS) provides direct, one-on-one Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services to children and adolescents with developmental delays, autism spectrum disorder, and related behavioral needs. Under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) and/or Licensed Behavior Specialist (LBS), the RBT implements individualized behavior intervention plans designed to reduce maladaptive behaviors and promote skill acquisition across communication, social, adaptive, and emotional domains. This role is essential to the delivery of high-quality, ethical, and family-centered behavioral health services across home, school, clinic, and community-based settings.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Active Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification
  • Completion of 40-hour RBT training and successful BACB exam
  • Ability to work in home and community-based settings
  • Required clearances: PA Child Abuse, Criminal History, FBI Fingerprints

Responsibilities

  • Provide one-on-one ABA services in accordance with individualized treatment plans
  • Implement behavior intervention strategies as designed by the BCBA/LBS
  • Support skill acquisition in areas such as communication, self-regulation, social skills, and daily living skills
  • Utilize trauma-informed, strengths-based, and culturally responsive practices
  • Implement proactive and reactive behavior strategies, including replacement behavior teaching
  • Use approved de-escalation, grounding, and coping strategies during escalated situations
  • Maintain client safety and dignity during high-intensity behaviors in accordance with training and policy
  • Accurately collect behavioral data during sessions
  • Complete session notes, incident reports, and required documentation in a timely manner
  • Communicate clinical observations to supervising clinicians
  • Collaborate with BCBAs, LBSs, caregivers, educators, and interdisciplinary team members
  • Maintain professional relationships with clients, families, and community partners
  • Participate in team meetings, supervision sessions, and training activities
  • Maintain active RBT certification and required clearances
  • Complete all mandatory trainings, supervision requirements, and continuing education
  • Adhere to ALFS policies, ethical standards, and regulatory requirements
