About The Position
Seeking a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to work in schools within Wilmington, DE for the '26-'27 School Year. This role involves implementing BCBA-designed behavior intervention plans in elementary school settings, providing direct support, collecting data, and collaborating with school staff. Devereux Educational Strategies and Solutions (DESS) focuses on evidence-based practices to support schools with special education populations.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required
- Must hold current Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification through the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB)
Nice To Haves
- Prior experience working with children or adolescents in educational, clinical, or community settings preferred
- Experience supporting individuals with autism or developmental disabilities is strongly preferred but not required
Responsibilities
- Implement BCBA-designed behavior intervention plans with fidelity in elementary school settings
- Provide direct support using prompting, reinforcement, skill-building, and behavior reduction strategies
- Collect and track session data, maintaining accurate documentation and reporting progress to the BCBA
- Follow safety and crisis protocols to ensure a secure learning environment
- Collaborate with school staff and maintain professional communication with teams and families
- Demonstrate reliability, professionalism, and adherence to ethical and program standards
