The Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) role involves working one-on-one with children with autism to implement individualized behavior intervention plans. Under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), RBTs utilize evidence-based techniques to teach essential communication, social, and daily living skills, while also working to reduce interfering behaviors. The position requires individuals who are passionate about supporting children with autism, possessing patience, compassion, and strong teamwork skills. Comprehensive training is provided, making it accessible even for candidates without prior experience. The role is physically demanding, as clients are active, requiring the RBT to be comfortable with various movements such as standing, walking, sitting, grasping, reaching, bending, kneeling, crouching, squatting, lifting, and carrying children or objects up to 50 pounds.
