About The Position

Easterseals Crossroads is seeking a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to join their ABA program, aiming to create a positive and unique environment for individuals and families impacted by Autism Spectrum Disorder. This full-time position involves providing one-on-one applied behavior analysis intervention to young children (ages 2-8) diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder. The role focuses on creating meaningful interactions, facilitating naturalistic learning environments, and implementing programming from various behavior analytic curricula under the supervision of BCBA/BCaBA's. The RBT will also assist in material creation, daily communication with parents and team members, data management, and collaboration with other departments like OT, Speech, and Physical Therapy. The position includes required training in applied behavior analysis and crisis prevention (Safety Care), with potential for student supervision for those with relevant experience. Opportunities for engagement with internal committees are also available.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in psychology, social work, or related field required.
  • RBT credential in good standing required at the time of hire.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience providing direct behavioral services to individuals with autism spectrum disorder or other experience working with children is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide one-on-one applied behavior analysis intervention to individuals diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder in an early childhood program ages 2-8 receiving up to 16 hours per week.
  • Create meaningful interactions and facilitate a naturalistic learning environment including play skills and social interactions within a 1:1 or classroom setting.
  • Work within a small team of RBT’s and BCBA’s.
  • Implement programming from behavior analytic curriculum such as ESDM, PEAK, and Socially Savvy under the direction of BCBA/BCaBA’s.
  • Assist with creating materials for group and classroom activities.
  • Communicate daily with parents, BCBA’s, and team members about caseloads and programming as well as managing consumer data.
  • Collaborate with other departments within the organization as needed such as OT, Speech, and Physical Therapy.
  • Receive a 30-minute lunch without clients.
  • Participate in applied behavior analysis and other organizational trainings as required.
  • Undergo training and implement crisis prevention training using Safety Care.
  • Student supervision may be provided to those with 1 year of experience with a minimum of 90 days of employment.
  • Opportunities to engage with other departments within the organization such as the IDEA Committee and Social Committee.
